How It Works
The Support Co-op build transforms you into the backbone of any Nullscape co-op team. The Grappler allows you to physically pull teammates out of danger — rescuing them from pits, pulling them away from Guardian charges, or repositioning them during boss fights. The Radar provides constant battlefield awareness for the entire team, revealing enemy positions, item locations, and secret rooms. The Pocket Bell is your personal contribution to damage output — its periodic AoE pulse damages and knocks back enemies, providing crowd control without requiring active aiming. The Medal is the build's defining feature: it passively buffs all nearby teammates with increased damage, speed, and health regeneration.
This build prioritizes team performance over individual stats. A skilled Support player can elevate an average team to clear content they'd never manage alone.
Strengths
- Teammate rescue. The Grappler's ability to save teammates from fatal situations is unmatched.
- Team-wide awareness. Radar information benefits the entire squad's decision-making.
- Passive team buff. The Medal's bonuses make every teammate more effective in combat.
- Low APM requirement. The build's contributions are largely passive, allowing you to focus on positioning and awareness.
- Essential for Extreme co-op. High-difficulty runs are dramatically easier with a Support player.
Weaknesses
- Weak solo. Many of the build's benefits (Medal buff, Grappler rescue) are useless without teammates.
- Lower personal damage. The build sacrifices offensive power for utility.
- Grappler requires team awareness. Missing a rescue opportunity can feel costly.
- Radar doesn't replace skill. Knowing enemy positions doesn't help if the team can't handle the encounters.
Tips
Communication is everything with this build. Constantly call out enemy positions from Radar, alert teammates when you see Operators or Eyes, and let your team know when your Grappler is ready for a rescue. Position yourself near the center of the group to maximize the Medal's buff radius. The Pocket Bell's knockback is excellent for interrupting Scrapmaw charges and breaking Sorrow auras — use it proactively rather than waiting for enemies to reach your team. In Doom in Bloom's new co-op challenges, the Support Co-op build is practically mandatory for consistent completions on higher difficulties.
