Springloaded Class Guide — Nullscape

The Springloaded class in Nullscape uses a unique bounce mechanic for unpredictable movement. Learn stats, abilities, synergies, and tips for this D-tier class.

Springloaded

Tier: D · Speed: 7/10 · Difficulty: 8/10

The Springloaded is the wildest class in Nullscape — a bouncy, unpredictable character whose movement is defined by ricocheting off surfaces. Its bounce mechanic can launch you across rooms at high speed, but the chaotic trajectory makes precise movement extremely difficult. It's the hardest class to master and sits at D tier because its unpredictability is as much a liability as an asset.

Overview

The Springloaded has spring-loaded legs that cause it to bounce on any surface it touches. Instead of landing normally, you ricochet off floors, walls, and ceilings at high speed. This can be used to cover massive distances quickly or to dodge attacks through sheer unpredictability — but it also means you often end up exactly where you didn't want to be. Mastery requires learning to control bounces rather than fighting them.

Abilities

Bounce

Passive: All landings result in an automatic bounce. The bounce angle is determined by the angle of the surface you hit. Holding the jump input during a bounce gives you more height; holding crouch gives a flatter, longer bounce.

  • Bounce Height: High (with jump input)
  • Bounce Speed: Fast
  • Control: Partial — input direction influences bounce angle
  • No Cooldown: Bounces are continuous

Spring Trap

Press the ability key to plant a spring trap on the ground. When an enemy steps on it, they are launched into the air and take fall damage upon landing.

  • Cooldown: ~8 seconds
  • Traps Active: Maximum 2 at a time
  • Launch Height: High
  • Damage: Moderate (fall damage on landing)

Stats

StatRatingNotes
Speed7/10Fast when bouncing, hard to control
Health4/10Below average — bounces into danger are common
Damage5/10Relies on Spring Trap and weapon upgrades
Mobility6/10High potential, low precision
Difficulty8/10Hardest class to control consistently

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Can reach areas inaccessible to other classes through creative bouncing
  • Extremely unpredictable movement makes you hard to hit
  • Spring Trap provides useful crowd control and environmental damage
  • Bouncing into enemies deals minor contact damage
  • Entertaining and unique playstyle unlike any other class

Cons

  • Bounce trajectory is difficult to predict and control
  • Easy to accidentally bounce into hazards, pits, or enemy groups
  • Below-average health means mis-bounces are frequently lethal
  • Spring Trap requires enemies to walk over it — useless against ranged or flying enemies
  • High skill requirement for inconsistent rewards

Best Upgrade Synergies

  • Controlled Bounce — Adds a slow-motion effect during bounces, giving you more time to aim your trajectory
  • Rubber Band — Bounces gradually lose less height, preventing rapid momentum loss
  • Spring Heels — Bounce contact damage increased and applies a knockback effect
  • Trap Master — Spring Trap cooldown reduced to 4 seconds and maximum traps increased to 4
  • Bounce House — Every 5th bounce releases a shockwave that damages nearby enemies

Controlled Bounce is essential for making the Springloaded playable at higher difficulties.

Tips

  • Use walls and ceilings as much as possible. Wall bounces are more predictable than floor bounces since there are fewer variables.
  • Plant Spring Traps at the base of elevated platforms where enemies are likely to walk.
  • In boss fights, stay near walls so you can quickly bounce to safety if a boss attack catches you mid-air.
  • The Springloaded rewards aggressive play — the more you bounce, the harder you are to hit. Hesitation leads to landing, and landing means you lose momentum.
  • Practice in Casual mode before attempting Standard or Extreme. The precision required is substantial.
