The Eye — Nullscape Enemy Guide

The Eye is a surveillance enemy in Nullscape that alerts other foes to your position. Learn how to break line of sight, sneak past, and neutralize it.

The Eye

Danger Rating: 2/5

The Eye is a floating surveillance enemy in Nullscape that functions as an alarm system for other enemies. While it deals minimal damage directly, its ability to alert and activate dormant enemies throughout a room makes it a strategic threat that can turn a carefully planned stealth approach into a chaotic brawl.

Behavior Pattern

The Eye appears as a large, glowing ocular construct that hovers in a fixed circular pattern above a room. It has a wide vision cone that sweeps the area below it. Any player caught within the vision cone for more than 1 second triggers an alarm — the Eye flashes bright red and emits an audible alert sound that activates all sleeping or dormant enemies in the room and adjacent corridors.

After triggering an alarm, The Eye enters an enraged state where its vision cone widens and it begins firing small tracking projectiles at the player. These projectiles deal light damage individually but are persistent and annoying. The Eye can trigger multiple alarms during an encounter, and each alarm can activate new waves of enemies.

Crucially, The Eye's alarm does NOT deal damage itself, and enemies activated by the alarm take 2–3 seconds to fully wake up and engage, giving you a brief window to reposition.

Spawn Conditions

The Eye appears in Void-touched rooms and certain stealth-oriented sections starting from Tier 1. Rooms with an Eye typically contain 3–5 dormant enemies that would otherwise not engage until approached directly. In Doom in Bloom, Eyes can also be found guarding treasure rooms and secret paths.

Counters

  • Break line of sight. Solid terrain completely blocks The Eye's vision cone. Plan your route around obstacles.
  • Sneak past. Moving slowly (crouch-walking or using Spirit-type abilities) lets you pass through the vision cone without triggering the alarm.
  • Destroy it quickly. The Eye has low health and goes down in 1–2 hits from any weapon — if you can reach it.
  • Time your movement. Watch the vision cone's sweep pattern and move during the blind spots.

Tips

The Eye teaches players the value of patience and observation. Before entering any room, take a moment to scan for the telltale glow of an Eye hovering above. In co-op, one player can deliberately trigger the alarm to bait enemies into a chokepoint while the team sets up an ambush. The Stealth Master build (Spirit + Ninja Belt) is specifically designed to bypass Eyes and similar surveillance enemies. On Extreme mode, always assume an Eye is present in dark rooms — the consequences of a surprise alarm activation are much more severe.
